"A Movie Buff at the Turn of the Century" turned out to be the festival’s surprise. Focused on the "clinical" movie fan Georgui Angelov the picture follows the road caprices of its object, avoiding the traps of a banal portrait. Poverty, freedom and obsession are the point. Its verbal absurdities show up the absurd aspects of our (film) reality. So the film has transformed the attitude towards its character. And not only mine, I guess…"

"BULGARIA" E-Magazine, "Recipe for culture"

"This film carries an exceptional message - To cinema with love. Filled with fine humour and with elegant director' s approaches, it honours those, for whom cinema is like "breathing", a way of life. The protagonist is a man of an almost extinct kind – a cinema fan. The authors of the film deserve respect for their efforts to save this rare human kind."
